Beth Ann Corr is board
certified in both acupuncture and Chinese herbal medicine (NCCAOM)
and a certified detoxification specialist (NADA). She has been in
the alternative health care field since 1994, having practiced shiatsu
and deep tissue therapeutic massage prior to entering the Masters
in Acupuncture program at the Traditional Acupuncture Institute
in 1999.
Acupuncture and Chinese
herbs are part of a comprehensive system of healing which originated
in China over 3,000 yrs ago. It is the oldest continuously practiced
medical system in the world. Pain or illness arises when our vital
life force does not circulate freely. Acupuncture helps restore
health and balance without the use of drugs or surgery.
When a person no longer
engages in life in a way that makes them feel alive it effect the
body, mind and spirit. By listening to the unique person with compassion
and respect, Beth Ann helps each rediscover what makes them flourish.
This leads to better health and an alleviation of symptoms.
She combines her training
in Five Element acupuncture and Traditional Chinese Medicine herbology
with lifestyle coaching and bodywork. She treats a wide array of
disorders, including anxiety and depression; infertility and menopausal
symptoms; GI problems; arthritis, sports injuries and pain.
Beth Ann is an adjunct
faculty member at the Won Institute of Graduate Studies, Pennsylvania's
first Masters in Acupuncture program, and a member of the Association
of Professional Acupuncturists in PA.
She is available to teach
workshops about acupuncture and/or Chinese Herbal Medicine and offers
free consultations in her W. Mt. Airy office.
